The ILCA, formerly known as the Laser, is one of the most iconic single-handed dinghies in the world. Simple in design, fast and demanding to master, it is equally popular with club sailors and top-level competitors.
With more than 200,000 boats produced worldwide, the ILCA has become a benchmark in dinghy sailing.
It is now available in three main versions: ILCA 4, formerly Laser 4.7, ILCA 6, formerly Laser Radial, and ILCA 7, formerly Laser Standard. These different rigs allow the boat to be adapted to the sailor’s size and level.
The ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 are used at the Olympic Games for the women’s and men’s events respectively.
